Roslyn C. Tyler: The most important things Virginia can do to improve the economy and create jobs are:
a. Create a pro-business environment by offering more incentives (including tax reductions) for the expansion and/or establishment of business.
b. Develop a strategic plan to improve localities infrastructure (water and sewage lines).
c. Ensure accessibility of Broad Band Internet in all localities.
d. Curtail excessive-restrictive regulations that hinder business expansion and development.
Roslyn C. Tyler: As a member of the Education Committee in the House of Delegates, ensuring that all children receive a high-quality education in Virginia has always been one of my major priorities. Therefore, I believe that Virginia has to utilize a variety of options and/or resources to meet the unique needs of children, which may include charter schools, virtual schools and in some instances explore vouchers.
Roslyn C. Tyler: My chief goal in the legislature is to improve the quality of life for all Virginians by introducing, supporting and passing legislation (with constituent's input) that will facilitate positive change for centuries. Consequently, my goal has been to form bi-partisan relationships that will enable me to attract additional resources to Virginia as well as Southside Virginia to address identified needs.
Roslyn C. Tyler: Voters should pick me because:
a. I am experienced (19 years , 6 years in HOD), bi-partisan, accessible and effective.
b. I have a proven track record of success, in creating jobs, supporting funding for education and public safety.
c. As a small business owner, I believe in low taxes, limited government regulations and fiscal accountability.
In short, as a public servant I believe we are elected to represent the needs of our constituents, not ourselves.
Al Peschke: Work with Governor McDonnell in streamlining government bureaucratic processes, maintain our right to work laws and have tax incentives for businesses that locate in this beautiful Commonwealth. More people working means more tax dollars to the state and that is what will get this economy moving again!
Al Peschke: Competition is good. Parent should have a choice where to send their children and I would support school vouchers. I understand the importance of a quality education and I will work to ensure that education dollars are spent in the classroom and not on bureaucratic overhead or unfunded mandates or administrative costs. I support a tax credit for home schooling, too.
Al Peschke: To work hard 24/7 for the citizens of the 75th District and represent them with a STRONG VOICE for less government, less spending, less taxes and more freedom!
Al Peschke: I have never run for a political office before. I'm a hardworking taxpaying citizen who has seen fraud, waste and abuse at all levels of our government on a daily basis. I will not be beholden to any special interest group, individual or lobbyist since I funded my own campaign. It's an opportunity for the good citizens to actually be represented by a person who will hold people accountable for their actions including my own.
